NOTE 1: J had some sort of machine malfunction, so he paged maintenance, then waited around doing nothing. As far as I recall, maintenance didnt respond.
NOTE 2: There was work in the west end of the building to day which is usually done by S, but he was absent today, so J did it instead from this point on. The western machine is at the other end of the building and is a load-and-come-back-in-a-half-an-hour affair, meaning S normally spends about half his time there and the other half in department. This "accounts", i.e., gives him a plausible excuse, for the long "wandering" sessions during J's day. Sort of. I'm not sure J did any work in the department this day. S would have.
NOTE 3: At company meeting, everyone got rewarded for our hard work with a cup of frozen yogurt. Jr reports that J supposedly had 6 of these. She personally saw him eat 2, and I saw him eat 1 earlier.
